My passions in life: food, travel, dance and Disney. I’ve always known I loved to dance and am pretty sure I was born in first position wearing a tutu. I first got my travel bug when I was working my dream job as a Disney performer traveling the world. And I first realized I enjoyed – and was actually quite good at – cooking when I was living in my small Hong Kong apartment, using a green flower pot on my 24×24 inch table to roll out homemade ravioli dough.
My name is Andrea and I want to share my favourite flavours (shout out to all my Canadian spellers) and inspirations from around the world (and a few other delicious recipes thrown in there). Sometimes I use exact measurements and sometimes I don’t, therefore, none of my recipes need to be followed to a tee for a successful dish, so please feel free to add your own flare in the kitchen. No, I didn’t go to culinary school – I just love to eat and love experimenting with fun, tasty, exotic and delicious ingredients. If it doesn’t work out, there’s always a hero out there waiting to save you – the pizza delivery man. Side note: I like things spicy! And cheese. I love cheese!
A little bit about me: I grew up in a small Ontario, Canada town called Tecumseh and although lovely, it is known for, well, not much. But I did eat a lot of corn when I was growing up. From there, I went on to live in Toronto, Hong Kong, Nashville, on a cruise ship and now in New York City. My goal is to travel to at least one different country every year to experience the culture and taste the flavours that country has to offer. Eat up!
